When I got the call from Lois’s sister with just over two months to go till the big day. I was so excited to get my teeth stuck into this magical festival themed wedding.

Learning all of Lois & Ben’s ideas and likes. This wedding was right up my street. To start the day their hair was styled by the wonderful Karlatina.

The Ceremony

With a Church Ceremony just down the lane from their home in Suffolk. We used Ernest Doe golf buggy hire. To ferry guests up and down the lane with a prosecco stand for the journey back. To their stunning grounds and beautifully restored barn, with different themed areas.

Welcome

From the French chic welcome area, with acoustic guitar playing in the background. With furniture hired in from Options Great Hire. Along with welcome drinks served by Beyond Bar Hire. Canopies by Kavanagh’s Catering.

A relaxed boho area in the orchards provided a peaceful setting for guests.

Reception

We then opened up the bar by Beyond Bar Hire and the barn for their magical reception area. With tables styled by myself using Dress it Yourself Hire, Banqueting Hire and Rustic Chair Hire. Where white flowers adorned the beams and tables by Amarante London. And a lit up dance floor and lighting throughout the barn and outside areas by The Little Lighting Co.

Their perfectly matching cake made by the very talented Claire’s Cakes Essex took pride and place in the centre of the barn. Which was also used for the gift table and sweet candy cart hired from Simply Sweet Candy Co who also provided the giant garden games.

Catering

The barn led through to the festival themed area with BBQ and Hog Roast food truck by Grunts. Mexican food truck by Wrapstars and Thai Food truck by Fan Thai Sticks. With a whip tin game and bucking bronco hired in from King Bounce Alot. Not forgetting of course the all important toilets hired in from Classical Toilet Hire.

The band hired via Richer Music with Mumford & Son vibes set the scene for the evening entertainment, along with their very touching first dance and cake cutting.

Followed by an amazing fireworks display by Dynamic Fireworks.

Which then led to the band’s last set of the evening finishing off the couple’s day beautifully.

In Summary

What did I learn from this wedding? That yes a full planned wedding can happen in two months. That the timetable can always be adjusted, even on the day to suit the couple.

I wish Lois & Ben a lifetime of happiness together with their children and dogs. And a big thank you for trusting me to be a part of their big day, something I will treasure always.

Thanks for reading
