5 Tips on Throwing a Festival Inspired Party

5 Tips on throwing a Festival Inspired Party

You may not be going to Festivals anytime soon thanks to Covid-19! So why not start planning your own Festival Inspired Party in Essex or Suffolk for when this is all over?

Here you can find my top 5 tips of what you should include:

Location is key

Is your back garden big enough to throw a party? You’ll want to hire in a tipi or marquee for the unpredictable (or maybe even predictable) British weather. www.suffolkmarquees.com. Don’t forget the generator big enough to run the lights and any other equipment you will need. You’ll want space for a stage, PA system, food stalls, toilets and parking for all your guests. If the answer is no, there are many other locations you can use for your Festival like www.dansmeadow.com.

There is no Festival without any music! There are many websites that can find local bands and the type of music you are looking for. Make sure you listen to their sound before hiring to make sure it’s the right vibe you want to create for your Festival. Check out www.bandsforhire.net www.lastminutemusicians.com or www.alivenetwork.com. Word of mouth; have your family or friends used a band or guitarist/singer before that they can recommend? Do you have a preferred busker you see performing on the way to work?

Another big element of the party. You need to keep your guests well hydrated and topped up with food. So make sure you hire in some good quality varieties of food stalls. There are so many quirky food vans and trucks you could hire: Pizza, BBQ, fish and chips, hot dogs, gourmet burgers and vegan street food stalls which are becoming far more popular and cater to all your party goers. See https://feast-it.com and www.veganfoodandliving.com

Will your festival have a theme? There are endless opportunities to get creative with your theme. Will it be based on culture? Or will it be theatrical like a circus? Comedy inspired festival? Or Glastonbury?

Your guests may not want to dance the entire time so make sure you have organised some other activities. You could have large outside board games like chess, jenga and Connect 4. www.biggamehunters.co.uk. A photobooth and glitter bar www.dayandknightphotography.co.uk. And lastly don’t forget a nice chilled space for the guests who want to take time out and chill from all the festivities.

Festival Inspired Party

There is a lot to organise and it can be quite time consuming, but hiring in the right people and achieving the vibe you want, will make it an epic party for all your festival goers.
